California Clay Conference

I'm back and recovering from my trip to California, above is a picture of my demonstartion. I built that horse in 2 hours, from scratch, no molds. I saw alot of old friends and classmates in Davis, had a great time, and saw great student art. Interestingly, some of the best work was being made at the community college level. It was nice to get away from home life for a little while, but so much nicer to be home again. I sold the green horse piece that was on display in the gallery, got back to a check from docs, and sold 4 pieces at a local gallery that opened on Saturday. Arabella enjoyed having her grandma and grandpa (papa) visit, but she really missed me, and we have had some clashes as she gets used to me again. Today we are getting ready to move the equipment and kilns and JUNK from the old studio into the new.
