Swim Class

Last night was the first night of our Parent-Tot swim class. Araeblla has talked about swimming, and was absolutely wild to get into the pool, until we got into the pool. In 3 feet of water we did one lap (me crawling with her on my arm, trying to get her to kick her feet) and and then she freaked and clung to me like a monkey. When she wasn't clinging to me madly she was trying to scramble out of the pool. I let her sit on the side of the pool. I think the distraction of seeing the giant water slides at the park where the class was held were too much for her, it looked like slide heaven. We'll see if she settles into classes, we've only got 7 more to go. This could be pretty frustrating.
