July isn't any better

One week into July and it's not really an improvement over June. I started off by getting stung by a bee on Monday (I stepped on it, it stung me right in the arch), and then developing poison ivy, which I managed, just like last year, to spread all over myself before I realized what it was. So now I have poison ivy under my arm, on my shoulder and on my face and neck. The benadryl ointment dries to a crust so it looks like leprosy - acne. Arabella has had an upset tummy all week, but liberal amounts of peanut butter seem to be helping at least as much as the baby pepto. Michael's back is killing him. Otherwise we're all peachy ...
I have been knitting, and I made two very nice scarves out of a yarn which looks like ribbon but has a velvety feel and a metallic thread. Knitted up it looks almost suede-like with little sparkles. One for me and one for ... hmm.
