OK, so I'm getting flak from the grandparent contingent on the blog not being up to date. Well, a comment from time to time wouldn't kill you dear readers, and it lets me know that I'm not writing this all for myself. Heck, I know what Arabella is doing.
This past week the In-laws came out for a few days, played with Arabella, and Michael and Frank replaced the back door. This was a bigger project than it seems, since the old door was anrrower and shorter than the smallest entry door on the current market. But now there is no longer a gap under the door you can slide a folded newspaper through. And the locks are all new, so no more aggravation with an old and hinky lock. Arabella had a great time, and misses her Papa, most likely since he lets her play in the car and gives her things like chemical lights.
Last night I attended the first class meeting for Arabella's new preschool, a co-op, so I'll be participating alot. There are two vegetarian kids, and one with a bad latex allergy, this will be interesting. I wracked my brains to think if there was anything I should be telling my fellow parents, and couldn't think of anything. Arabella is happy, energetic, healthy.
I was planning on posting pictures of Arabella from the Cottage in West PA, bu the cd of pics that Walter gave us won't run, and I can't find my camera (I took it out of my purse last week to go to the splash park), so, when I have new pics, you will all see them.
Knitting: finished a washrag for Amy, working on the interminable log cabin afghan, haven't touched Arabella's snake, and started Michael's alpaca yarn hat last night.
Ceramics: halfway up the body of a largish horse, about 22" long and about 20" high so far. Nothing else going on. Class starts next week -- wheel-throwing.

I think Pop-pop misses her more.
Yeah, the original door was very narrow and short. The last door was just nailed onto the inside frame of the original. Thus all the debris from just one door replacement.
When the mud room is re-done, I'm sure it will be a showcase!!
