I started a "heartbreakingly cute baby kimono" in lime cotton-ease on Monday (for neighbor J- who is expecting momentarily), it is going slowly only because I have been busy. The yarn is really luscious, very soft. I did manage to finish Michael's olive green sweater that I was trying to get done for Xmas, and crochet an edge on the turquoise sweater I started for Arabella in February ... of 2006. I still have to put buttons on it. Now what did I do with those buttons ...

Last night we went out to Bertolini's, I was feeling that craving for the Romano Chicken, in its lake of Gorgonzola sauce with balsamic on the wilted spinach. We get there and discover .. they changed the recipe. Just a drizzle of sauce, no balsamic. If it had been my first time having it I would not have minded, but my mouth knew what I was supposed to be getting, and that wasn't it. I tried, but I couldn't eat all of my dinner. My appetite just isn't very strong, and I feel overfull very quickly. Michael was thrilled to discover the man sitting behind us is from Philadelphia -- when the words "crimpets" and "Tasty Cakes" and "scrapple" popped up ... it turns out the guy was familiar with Michael's old neighborhood in NE Philly, his uncle (or grandfather?) lived right in that area.
