First day of school

Officially, Tuesday was the first day of school, but Arabella's school does a half-day on the first day where the parents stay, so in Arabella's mind, it didn't really count. This may be good for kids who are more clingy than Arabella, or for whom this is their first year in preschool, but A is an old hand. As we were headed home she asked, "why didn't you leave, and where is my snack?"

So today is the first day of school.

Arabella likes petting the deer fur on this piece.

The Bean is running out of room to move around, but last night I rolled over, and the movement must have woken her, because she began trying to break out with her elbow. It was painful, and eventually I rolled back to my other side to press the offending elbow into the mattress. Everything from my collarbone down hurts or is swollen, labor is going to be a relief after this.

Yesterday I was quite flattered when a woman behind me in line at the pharmacy commented she hadn't realized I was pregnant until I turned sideways. Until I turned she was quite perplexed by the conversation I was having with the pharmacist over how pregnant I am, and how close to my due date.
