- When I say I'm making quiche for dinner he says, "oh good, I was going to ask you when we were having quiche again."
- He thinks I am beautiful, regardless of makeup or hair color, whether I'm thin or chubby, pregnant or post-partum saggy, or even if I'm covered in baby barf.
- He can be trusted to go shopping for a minivan for me and come home with a perfect minivan, not a Corvette or a Harley.
- He can convince Arabella that washing windows is fun.
- When I woke up this morning all the dishes were washed.
- He wears the hats and sweater I knit for him. Proudly.

There's that rumor about him killing a drifter in Louisiana a few years back. Back when "everybody" was doing it.
