Re-Sleep, Night 3

Last night seemed to go a little more smoothly (remember, we are not yet at the training stage, just the schedule adjustment phase), but ...

One of my cardinal rules for babies (I kept it with Arabella as well as Sabine) is

Thou Shalt Not Diaper The Baby In The Middle Of The Night

unless it is an Emergency like the diaper overflowed. This rule only counts for babies older than 3 months.

But last night, when I picked up Sabine at midnight she was Stinky. Specifically poopy stinky. I didn't know how this could be since she had THREE poopy diapers yesterday, but there it was. I ignored it, got her back to sleep, and decided it must just be gas. But then she was awake at 1:30, and the stink was still there, so after 20 minutes I decided we must do an emergency night diapering. I turned on the tiny lamp, whipped her silently out of sleeper and diaper to discover ... nothing. A barely damp diaper and stink, but nothing more.

She faked me out!
