Piggle

Last night I cast off the sleeves for Michael's sweater (now I just have to stitch it up, the most tedious part of knitting), and cast on for Arabella's piggle hat, a knit lace hat with holes for 2 pigtails to pass through. It would be nice to have it done before the flowers bloom. Arabella has decided that pigtails are chic.

I am sick with a head cold, and I am hoping that it stays that way. If I'm not feeling better by tomorrow I will call the doctors office and see what they recommend, I feel pretty rough. And having to drag Arabella through the shockingly cold to school or the babysitter, and then try to make art in my shockingly cold studio isn't helping. Even with 2 wall heaters and one small space heater running on full, my studio warmed up to 33 degrees. Hot water for rinsing does help. The frustrating part is that at these temperatures, the clay resists firming up, ever. Unless left completely uncovered, when it quickly becomes bone dry. Arg.

Pictures next week. I have tried to take pics of Arabella with pigtails, but it hasn't been successful. Sh
