Back in March I visited New York City, and stayed at a very nice hotel. Midway through my 5 day visit I found a pair of unfamiliar underwear in my (unshared) bathroom. The owners of the mystery underwear were not discovered, but I assume the maid accidentally removed a pair of underwear from one room (with the towels perhaps) and tossed them into her best guess for the origin. She just guessed wrong. For the record, I don't own any underwear with Calvin Klein on the waistband.
I thought of the mystery underwear when I saw this video today, about the nastiest thing in your hotel room. Urg. If you travel, you should see it, but be warned it made me a bit queasy, and those of you who know me know that is no small feat.
School Day
Today I participated at Arabella's preschool. Now remember that it snowed all weekend, and my quick informal poll showed we were not the only family to stay cooped up the past 3 days. So it is perhaps unsurprising that 14 children finally freed from home to play with their pals can be really wild, really noisy, and highly chaotic. Add to that glitter glue, paint, and present wrapping (ceramic handprints with child painted wrapping paper) and, oh yes! gingerbread cookie making (really making, like mixing and rolling dough, cutting and baking cookies). And the unspoken but clear anticipation of Santa and gift-ness. Arabella rode the tricycle really well, steering carefully except for starting out by running over one of her classmates who didn't get out of her way quickly enough.
And I had to help the teacher remember the words to the Dreidle Song. I think I'm the closest thing to a Jew in our school.
P.S. to the MIL & FIL
I found Arabella's stocking, but not the one you were asking about, and my stocking, made when I was a baby, but not the Man's, nor the handmade one for A. And, because my mind is going, I had to order more yarn for Christmas gifts, but its coming to your house. Surprise! This morning I made it nearly all the way to school before realizing I was without purse, wallet, phone, or so much as a lip gloss.

i saw that video a few days ago. We bring our own plastic cups. . . Yeecchh!!
I still think there's a box hiden somewhere around here with a lot of Christmas stockings in it. I'll keep looking.
As for the CK underwear, I suspect Mrs. Klein's kid, Calvin. Or do you mean it was printed in there??
The weather look good for this weekend. It should be in the forties.
We were staying at a hotel last spring and came back from dinner to find two obviously used wineglasses on our dresser...and we don't drink...
