I got my invite to Ravelry, an online international community for knitters and crocheters. And was immediately invited to join potters who knit, and found ... my friend MJ, who lives oh about 3 miles from here (about 3 blocks from our old house). Small world. I am loving the site, where I can put my patterns in and use it as a database for my stash of yarn and projects, and a forum for questions, and a research tool for patterns and yarns. Cool.
Santa
Every year I take Arabella downtown to see Santa at Celebration Crossing at the Indiana State Museum. Our Xmas picture has been there, usually her hanging out near the trees. This year, having Sabine, I thought I would have a family portrait taken and use that for Xmas cards, but the cost was prohibitive. So I decided to fall back on the picture of the cute tyke(s). I waited until both girls were over their colds, dressed them in cute clothes, took them downtown and as I am removing them from the van and trundling into the museum I realize ... of course ... I left the camera at home.
The Man reminded me that our phones have cameras, and showed me how to use it, but the pictures was unsuccessful. Sabine was crying, unhappy at being propped up when all she wanted was to sleep.
Maybe we will have a Xmas card this year ...
BTW, Melissa, I must have your old address because the card I sent came back, email or call me please.
