Back to our regular programming

Frank, I warned you. It's not my fault if your curiousity got the best of you.

It was really stinking cold yesterday. I didn't go outside for anything, not even the mail. We stayed in, ate chicken noodle soup and took naps. Naps for everyone! The joys of a mom with a sick kid are very simple.

Last night Arabella wanted to read about summer and planting flowers in the garden. We spent a few minutes discussing which flowers we will be planting come spring. The old faves -- Sweet Peas, Sunflowers, and Black-Eyed Susans will be joined by Cosmos, Marigolds, and zinnias. And of course we have Coneflower, Clematis, Irises, and Peony. Maybe this year the Peony will make more than one blossom. Thinking about spring flowers is a nice distraction from the cold and snow and sickness.

Sabine is fascinated by books. When Arabella was this age she couldn't care less about books and reading, even though I read books to her every night at bedtime. Nowadays Arabella loves her story time, but it's Sabine who brings books to me all day to read. Her current favorite is Moo Baa LaLaLa, and she says Moo for every page.

And other than that I have no news for you all. Everything is going as usual. My house is a mess, I am still reading obsessively, and I have a pile of knitting that is asking politely when I am going to stop reading about vampires and get back to other non-essential hobbies. Like cleaning house.

Is Moo Baa LaLaLa out in paperback yet?
