This is the hat I finished last week, for my father (aka Poppy), with earflaps, to protect his delicate but weirdly large head. I think it's bright enough. It's a simple hat with Cascade 220. Pop said a lady at Trader Joe's complimented him on it yesterday. We're not sure if she was being facetious.
I'm also wearing the purple cowl I made for myself, though it doens't show up in the picture. It's a feather and fan pattern cowl (as MJ told me, feather & fan is very easy) that I got out of the Knit 2 Together book. I used Jo Sharp Silk Road Aran Weight yarn (merino wool, silk and cashmere blend, soft and slightly nubby), which I like very much. I have taken to wearing it everywhere, even in the studio. Unfortunately, I think it looks classier than I do.

Seems purple is in this season.
The pictures are great. I like the story time with the choke hold on the doll. Did you tell her to stand still for the first one??
Soooo cute!
