For her birthday ...

Arabella has an ear infection. Or maybe I should say had, since she seems much better since Monday's trip to the dr. and a prescription of antibiotics. Last night she slept straight through the night without a peep until 6:45 (when Michael got up to go to work), the first night she has slept through since Thursday.

Dad arrives tomorrow, so I am desperately trying to finish the hat I have been making for him. Its a basic stockinette wool hat, but from some kind of mental block I have had to rip half of the crown out twice to do it again. I'd better get it done, he needs a head warmer. At least I located and uncovered the heating vent in the 3rd bedroom so he can close the door without freezing to death in the night. Ah, the previous owners of our house were strange: who puts a giant carpet over a heating vent?

Michael finished building the shed for the mower and garden tools and arabella's outdoor playthings. Pics in the next post.
