First Food

"Mmm, rice-flavored hand, my favorite."

Sabine had her first cereal last night, rice mixed with expressed milk. She seemed to like it, but to be a bit confused about this spoon idea.
After dinner and a bit of cuddling, I gave Sabine her bath, and treated her cradle cap again (used a soft toothbrush on her scalp while shampooing) and loosened it up quite a bit. After bath there were lots of greasy flakes stuck in her hair, which I gently worked free, but quite a bit of her hair came out too, so her hair is a bit thinner on top than it was. Michael says he can't look, it just looks like I took a cheese grater to her scalp. But she is much less scaley.
Last night Michael was teasing Arabella, and she called him on it. He laughed, and said "Is Daddy full of beans?" and she said "No." So Michael said "What am I full of?" (I know, this is just an invitation for wise-ass comments...), and Arabella thought about it a moment before yelling "Coffee!"
Well, he is.
And we are not going to Chicago after all. The weather is supposed to be snowing and cold, and cousin Veronica's flat is having work emergency sewer work done, so we'll be staying home. Sorry, Deanna.
