It's fuzzy, but you can see the radiology lab has a sense of humor. I was waiting for the glucose test for gestational diabetes, and realized I was being watched.
The Early Girl tomatoes are finally ripening up. We ate the red one last night with tacos, it was very good. After much anticipation, Arabella decided she really didn't like tomatoes, when it came right down to eating them. Blackberries are better.
A huge butterfly, Arabella tried catching it with a bucket. I was glad she was unsuccessful. I don't know what it is, but it's pretty.
The Colinette Point 5 yarn beginning to take shape as a scarf and hat. I got 4 skeins of this for $5/skein at the closing of business sale at the Golden Thimble. Normally it is $20/skein. The huge needles do make my hands get tired. And if you look closely you can see my big pregnant belly and foot poking into the bottom of the picture.
And this is the Lorna's Laces Lion and Lamb in Aslan (50 Wool/50 Silk) for Mom's Clapotis Scarf. I have knitted about 8" on it, of the total 55". It has a lovely mother-of-pearl look to it, and knitted up has a mottled look, rather than stripe-y.
The dryer is here, but ... the electricity to the dryer outlet was cut ... so we have to call an electrician this morning and set up an appointment. The Man is a bit leery about hooking up 240, and about working in the breaker box. I can't really blame him. The good news is that the run of wire won't be more than about 1 foot, since the box is directly over the dryer, and we already have an outlet and the breakers installed.
Yesterday a lady from my knit group, who has been on vacation and I haven't seen for awhile, asked when I am due, and when I said October she was surprised by my size (I know, I look rather protruberant for 6 months). Then she smiled and said this was a reminder of how small a person I really am when I am not pregnant. I thought that was the nicest way of saying "my goodness you sure are huge" that I have heard yet.
