This week is officially designated "clean up my studio" week. It really isn't as small as I sometimes suggest, but it has way too much stuff in it. So while the factory is firing my pieces, I will be cleaning. Once fired, the pieces will be ready to shoot (photos) and glaze.
The Clapotis is nearing completion -- I just began reducing last night, and I expect to be done by the end of the weekend. It is very lovely, and I have had some very admiring comments from women at church over it (I was knitting on it while Arabella played and we waited for service to start). It went faster than I expected, too.
The new clothes dryer is great. I really like the little light, though I am a bit confused by the selection of temperatures, the old dryer had one temperature, sahara in summer, this one has 3 + the fluff cycle. I feel so very classy.
A pair of black Mary Jane shoes arrived yesterday evening, thank you, Mom! They are a little snug, but that is most likely because in the past few days my feet and ankles have gone from being swollen at the end of the day to swollen all the time. The soles of the shoes are so cushiony and soft it's more comfortable than barefoot. Now I just have to hunt down (or give in and make) some cool ankle socks. Anything to draw attention away from the gargantuan belly. I told Mom that I was on a shoe hunt because all my shoes are either boots (not good for summer), flip-flops (a little too casual for some events, or when I need to be able to walk, not just shuffle along), or have heels (not good for pregnant and clumsy). Or are a combination of these.
The ditzy neighbor asked the Man if I am mad at her since I am not very friendly these days. The Man told me he thought of saying "well, you suggested that she's FAT, that might make her a little testy." I have other reasons for not being overly friendly with ditzy neighbor, but asking how much weight I have gained certainly didn't help.
