Hi There, Mr. Dryer

Yesterday Arabella went to preschool / daycare, but I took the day off from the ceramic project, so the Man and I:

  1. Went out to lunch downtown and walked around the mall and looked at baby stuff, kid stuff, and shoes for mommy. We bought nothing. The pink baby shoes with little black skulls were very tempting but were also $22! I feel weird spending $22 on shoes for me!
  2. Called the electrician who did my studio to come hook up the dryer. He came out the same day! All ready to go. It' only been 2 weeks since the dryer was delivered ...
  3. The Man read Harry Potter. He is a slower reader than I am (everyone is a slower reader than I am), so he says he doesn't mind letting me read things first so I'm not breathing down his neck saying things like "Aren't you done yet?" He finished last night after I went to bed and hasn't gotten up yet, so I don't know how he liked it.
  4. I knitted on the Clapotis scarf for mom. I have one or two more repeats before I begin reducing the width and bind off. If I can knit at my non-reading-Harry-Potter pace, I may be finished next Monday or so.

These are the things you do on a date day when you are a parent.

Ben is reading HP right now. I am waiting patiently. He is a faster reader than me. =)
